Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On Monday, November 3, 2025, our school will participate in the district-wide Parent Engagement Professional Learning Community (PLC) Day. While you may have already seen communication from the district, we want to take a moment to share what this day means specifically for our school community.

This day is not simply about individual parent-teacher conferences. Instead, it is designed to strengthen the partnership between home and school by providing meaningful opportunities for engagement.

What to Expect

  • Teacher Meetings: Each family will have the opportunity to meet with their child’s Advisory Teacher. This is a valuable time to discuss your child’s progress, set goals, and explore ways to support their growth.
  • Informational Sessions:
    • 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM: Youth Service will be set up in the atrium to discuss community support services
    • 11:30:  Mental Health Session in the Auditorium
    • 3:00:  Technology (Talking Points) Session in the Auditorium
  • Family Connection: By engaging in these conversations and sessions, parents will gain a deeper understanding of their child’s educational journey and how to best support them.

Why it Matters

We know that parent engagement is key to student success. This day is designed to provide you with clear, consistent, and meaningful information while also connecting you with the many opportunities available in our schools.

We encourage every family to take part in this important day. Together, we can ensure our students are equipped for success now and in the future.

Thank you for your continued partnership. We look forward to welcoming you on November 3!

Sincerely,

David Cloyd

Principal, South Warren Middle School
