Principal's Message

Dear Spartan Community,

As we approach the final few weeks of the school year, I would like to take a moment to share some important information and updates with you.

First and foremost, I want to take time to celebrate all of the outstanding accomplishments and achievements of our students during the 2024-25 school year.   Many of our students have excelled in academics, co-curriculars, and extracurricular activities throughout this school year.  Thanks to the guidance and leadership from our dedicated staff the students of South Warren Middle have demonstrated significant learning gains throughout this school year.  I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support of our school.

With KSA Testing and end of the year events just around the corner, I wanted to inform you about our upcoming plans.  KSA Testing is currently scheduled for the week of May 5-9 and will conclude on Monday, May 12.   We ask that every student do their best to be present every day during the week of KSA Testing.   We will be having an end of the year Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 12th at 6:00 PM in the SWHS Auditorium.  We will be recognizing students for their outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2024-25 school year.

As per the official school calendar, the last day of school will be Monday, May 19.   We will have final exams on May 16 and May 19, which are the final two days of school.  Students will be asked to come in during the summer to take final exams if they are absent on either of those two days.  Lastly, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your continued support and involvement in our school community.  I encourage you to stay engaged through our school's communication channels, which include School newsletters, school website, and SWMS Facebook page.

As the school year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible growth and achievements of our students. This year has been filled with exciting moments, challenges, and successes that have shaped both our students and our community. We are proud of all that has been accomplished, and we are especially grateful for the ongoing support of our dedicated parents.

As we wrap up the year, we’re excited to share details about the upcoming end-of-year activities, where we’ll celebrate the hard work, perseverance, and milestones our students have achieved. These events are not just a reflection of academic success, but a testament to the strong partnership between our school and our families.

Thank you for being an integral part of this journey. Together, we’ve made this school year one to remember!

Mr. David Cloyd
SWMS Principal
